DescriptionMensa Serbia is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-partisan, non-profit association of citizens with a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test. Since intelligence should be used for the benefit of humanity, the main tasks and objectives of Mensa Serbia are: - to identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity; - to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge among members and provide stimulating intellectual and social environment and opportunities for development of intellectual potential for its members; - to be informed about scientific and technical achievements in the country and worldwide and to keep its members up-to-date with those achievements; - to actively participate in events which are beneficial for local community and society in general. In order to accomplish its objectives Mensa Serbia organizes IQ testing (according to conditions that are determined by Mensa International) and other activities, such as: professional lectures, discussions, seminars, conferences and publishing specialized bulletins and magazines. All those activities are organized though the work of Special Interest Groups (SIG-s) and in local, national and international gatherings. Mensa Serbia encourages and supports research concerning intelligence and cooperates with prominent individuals and many domestic and international associations and organizations. Mensa Serbia is capable of performing tasks which involve consulting, giving suggestions and advices, as well as participating in scientific research and other projects on a non-profit basis.
